The Connova Group presents itself at the JEC World 2026 in Paris
From March 10 to 12, 2026, the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition center will once again
Composites follow different design rules than metals. We have these laws in our genes. You have the advantage.
Do you want to break through the boundaries of traditional materials? Do you perhaps have problems with the natural frequency of your structure? Is the stiffness too low or the weight too high? Do you even need X-ray transparency? Preferably paired with an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion? We know what is possible with composites and will support you from the initial evaluation, through design, layout and prototype production to the tried and tested product ready for series production.
Decades of experience in the design and process development of composite components. In-depth knowledge of materials. You name the requirements, we develop possible solutions and put them into practice.
You decide how we get there. Whether lean and efficient – more based on experience and product examples. Or with comprehensive design, simulation calculation, detailed design and validation tests with complete documentation. We tailor the effort to your needs.
We don’t offer castles in the air. We are transparent and detail-orientated from the quotation phase onwards and are committed to ensuring that you are as enthusiastic as we are when you receive the product or development service.
Thanks to the use of CFRP, it is possible not to change the patient positioning in spinal surgery during the operation process, including X-ray. The Connova Group provides the following services for Schärer Medical:
In close co-operation with Dr Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, a composite heat protection system was developed for the Porsche Spyder 918 that can withstand continuous operating temperatures of up to 350°C. The order included, among other things
Weight-optimised design and construction for the given envelope, load and maximum deflection.
The structure and processes for manufacturing the CHEOPS satellite were developed in close collaboration with our partners in the space sector.
We don’t just offer you the component you want. We work with you to develop the product that best meets your needs.
Managing Director, Connova Deutschland GmbH
Thomas Leschik leads Connova Deutschland GmbH in Klipphausen near Dresden as Managing Director and, as a mechanical engineer (TU Dresden, Diplom-Ingenieur / Dipl.-Ing., grade 1.3), drives the technical advancement of composite engineering across the Connova Group. His career began as a research assistant at the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology (ILK) at TU Dresden, followed by more than a decade at CarboFibretec, latterly as Managing Director. 42 patents at various stages – publicly searchable in the German Patent and Trade Mark Office register (DEPATISNET) – together with his appointment as a reviewer for state lightweight-construction grants evidence his technical depth.
Why you benefit from his expertise:
„Lightweight construction means placing atoms in the right order – using as few as possible to meet the requirement. This principle drives every engineering decision we make.”
